ML System Operations (m/f/d)
As a System Operations Expert, you will help us train and deploy data science and machine learning models.
In a remote-first setup, you'll work with us mostly in the cloud and be primarily responsible for pipelines, automation, operations, and troubleshooting.
Ideally, you've already had experience running production systems and responding to disruptions. You may never want to do this yourself again, but you can help others make this an automated and therefore stress-free task.
Your profile
You like talking to people and helping them with computer problems
You enjoy capturing your experiences in a reusable format for your colleagues: Templates, drafts, and guidelines
You have worked with Data Scientists before
If you are stranded on an island and only have a Debian VM, you can still build a CI/CD pipeline with your bare hands
You have a few favorite pipeline tools for off-island situations (e.g. Jenkins, Airflow, GHA, Gitlab, etc.)
You know about containers and zero-downtime deployments
You know enough Python to be dangerous
You have a favorite drink
Nice to have
When things can be automated, you enjoy doing them and thus have more time for more exciting activities.
You know different clouds and have an opinion about which one you find best

Salary
For legal reasons, we are obliged to state the minimum salary of the IT collective agreement applicable in Austria in the amount of € 2,518 gross/month (full-time basis) (experience level ST1).
Of course, we offer an overpayment in line with the market, depending on qualifications and experience.
